These include boarding for retired or aging horses; mare reproduction services, care and foaling; care and initial training of foals; on-going training; and recuperation facilities for injured or ill horses. Retirement horses are boarded at per month rate. Lifetime Charges are available and can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis depending upon the age, health, and realistic life expectancy of your horse.

Veterinarian and Related Services:
Veterinarian services are billed upon occurrence at our cost plus a nominal Veterinary Invoicing Service Fee. Additional charges also include our comprehensive Vaccination and Deworming Program including:

:  1. Bi-annual (April or May & September or October) vaccinations for Rhinopneumonitis and Influenza plus a dewormer containing Ivermectin; annual (April or May only) vaccinations for Rabies, Encephalomyelitis, Tetanus Toxoid, Potomac Horse Fever and West Nile Virus for all horses other than mares in foal.

:  2. Pregnant mares will be vaccinated with Rhinopneumonitis in their fifth, seventh and ninth months of gestation and 4 to 6 weeks prior to foaling; Rabies, Tetanus Toxoid, Encephalomyelitis, Influenza, Potomac Horse Fever and West Nile Virus each spring prior to breeding. Pregnant mares not on our optional Strongid C Daily Dewormer Program (detailed below) receive a dewormer containing Ivermectin in January, April, July and October.

Strongid C Daily Dewormer Program is available for pregnant mares, foals in training and recuperating horses. Strongid C with Pyrantel Pamoate provides continuous control of most common internal parasites including Large Strongyles (Bloodworms), Small Strongyles, Pin Worms and Round Worms. A dewormer with Ivermectin is still required and administered in April or May and September or October to control possible Bot infestation.

Feed, Farrier, and Transportation:
Challis Creek Ranch Provides Farrier Services Special feed and/or supplements you may desire your horse to receive, or those veterinarian recommended, if any, are billed at market price.

Farrier services are billed upon occurrence at our cost (a copy of the farrier's invoice will be provided). We recommend your horse(s) be checked and, if necessary, trimmed in April, July and October and you may also choose to have your horse shod. We recommend shoes be removed during the winter months.

Though we encourage you to transport your own horse(s), if possible, and visit as often as you may desire thereafter, certified professional transportation companies can be arranged upon request. However, due to unstable fuel prices, and other variables that can affect these transport costs, charges must be determined at the time of such need. Reduced rates do normally apply when combined with transportation of another of your horses or those of another boarder(s).

Burial Services:
A Hillside Cemetery overlooking the horse ranch and valley is available on the property. Please contact us for the charge of the site and service. This service includes installation of a reasonable sized grave marker (if desired) to be provided by the owner.

FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OUR BOARDERS:
1.  The State Of Idaho requires any horse(s) transported into the State to have a Coggins Test within six (6) months prior to such transportation.

2.  All horses will be quarantined for a period of two (2) weeks before being released into the general population or allowed to have any direct contact with other boarders.

3.  During the Quarantine Period each horse will receive a complete physical examination including required blood testing by a local veterinarian to insure a sound and disease free condition.

We reserve the right to refuse boarding of any horse(s) that, solely in our opinion, embraces a disposition and/or frequently demonstrates behavior that we feel could be detrimental or dangerous to other boarders and/or our Ranch personnel. Transportation costs to return your horse will be the responsibility of the owner

Payment Terms:
1.  Boarding charges for your horse are on a monthly basis invoiced quarterly. Scheduled optional services are included in this billing. Non scheduled or infrequent services are invoiced upon such occurrence. All invoices are Net/15 Days.

2.  We offer all electronic invoicing via e-mail attachment. Payment may be via automatic electronic bank transfer.

3.  For those without Internet capabilities (or for those who just so prefer), invoices shall be forwarded and/or payment may be remitted via the good ol' U.S. "Snail Mail".
